Your documents never leave your computer. Anonyma reads them, finds the personal information and removes it locally, with AI models installed with the software; no model is downloaded while you work. Internet is needed for activation and periodic licence checks, at least every 7 days, and for updates. These requests do not send document content.
On your computer, where you choose. Your original is not changed: the cleaned copy is a new file, saved in the folder you pick, with a cleaned file name. Nothing is sent to us; we cannot see your documents because they never reach us.
Yes, locally. The AI is part of the software you install, not an online service. Anonyma also learns from your choices, and what it learns stays on your computer. Your documents are not sent to us or to anyone else.
PDFs, including scanned PDFs, Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, e-mails (.eml and .msg) and images such as PNG, JPG and TIFF. The cleaned copy is always a PDF: for a Word, Excel or PowerPoint file, it keeps the text but not the original layout.
Yes. Scanned pages are read on your computer by text recognition (OCR). In the copy, scanned pages are rebuilt as images, and after export Anonyma checks the copy for remaining selected details. Poor scans are harder to read, so review those pages with extra care.
Yes. The app is bilingual, French and English, and recognizes the Social Insurance Number, RAMQ and Ontario (OHIP) health cards, and Quebec and Ontario driver’s licences.
It can happen. That is why you review every page before exporting. You can search for any word or number and remove it, add your own boxes, or keep a suggestion visible. You remain responsible for the copy you share.
Download Anonyma for Windows 10 and 11 from the Download page and install it. To activate Pro, buy a licence and use the key shown after checkout or received by email. In Anonyma, open the licence window using the key button and choose Activate.
